Answer

In each of the last three financial years, no Regionally Significant planning decisions were appealed to the Planning Appeals Commission (PAC). In accordance with the Planning Act (NI) 2011 and unlike decisions made by councils, the decision of the Department on an application for planning permission made to it or referred to it shall be final. In this regard there is no provision available to appeal the decision to the PAC.
