Answer
My Department is aware of the concerns about the use of glyphosate and, while it remains an approved product which is effective in the control of weeds, we are keeping its use on the road network under review, in support of the next All-Ireland Pollinator Plan. This plan sets out a range of measures to minimise environmental impact and the next plan period will be 2021-2025.
