Answer
The Department for Infrastructure is one of four organisations (the other three being Belfast City Council, Lisburn and Castlereagh City Council, and Ards and North Down Borough Council) who provided funding support to Sustrans to develop and deliver the ‘One Path Initiative’ along the Comber Greenway.
The first year of funding was 2016/17 and therefore no funding was provided prior to that.
My Department has provided funding to Sustrans and installed a number of the One Path “Share, Respect Enjoy” signs on various paths as per details below.
2016/2017 – Overall funding £13,460 - DfI contribution £3,365
2017/2018 - Overall funding £20,570 - DfI contribution £5,142
2018/2019 - £10,000 – DfI – Installation of Share Respect Enjoy signs on Comber Greenway
2019/2020 - £2,000 – DfI – Installation of Share Respect Enjoy signs on Blaris Greenway
