Answer
In respect of minor capital works the Education Authority has advised me that:
the conversion of a Home Economics classroom to a general classroom was delivered in December 2019;
additional teaching accommodation was delivered in June 2021 and a double modular unit in November 2021;
there are no minor works schemes planned for the remainder of 2021/22; and
a hire unit for additional storage and the investigation of potential satellite site options is planned for 2022/23.
In addition, Clifton Special School was announced in May 2020 to advance in design under the second call to the School Enhancement Programme (SEP2). An Integrated Consultancy Team (ICT) is currently being procured for the SEP2 project and it is anticipated that the successful ICT will be appointed early in 2022. A programme for delivery of the SEP2 project will be developed when the ICT is appointed.
