Answer
Prior to the installation of the part-time 20mph speed limits at schools the Department carried out a trial to determine the effectiveness of the new type of signage. The report on the trial is publically available at 20mph Speed Limit Trials - Review Report | Department for Infrastructure (infrastructure-ni.gov.uk). In addition to our routine monitoring of road safety, in collaboration with the PSNI, consideration is being given to a more formal review on this specific programme. It is intended that this will be done when all the sites identified for treatment in Tranche 1 and 2 are operational.
