Answer
The Minority Ethnic Development Fund (MEDF) continues to be a key element of our policy for racial equality and good race relations in our society. It is intended to be aligned with and support our Racial Equality Strategy 2015 - 2025 and provides support for voluntary and community organisations working with minority ethnic people and groups.
The application process to the 20/21 Minority Ethnic Development Fund has commenced and closes on 2nd April 2020. It is intended that applicants will be told the outcome of that process before the end of April 2020.
In parallel, a review of the MEDF is underway and the findings will inform the operation of the fund beyond 20/21.
