Answer
I am aware that Fermanagh and Omagh District Council has approached my officials to explore the possibility of my Department working in partnership with them to deliver an improvement scheme at Foundry Lane in Omagh. My officials have confirmed that the paving in Foundry Lane is currently in a serviceable condition and that there are many other footways within the district in greater need of improvement.
Therefore owing to budgetary constraints and other competing priorities, my Department unfortunately was unable to commit to assisting the delivery of an improvement scheme at Foundry Lane at this time. The proposal will however remain under consideration for possible inclusion in future programmes of work.
