Answer

My Department uses the Road Maintenance Client System asset management system to assist in managing and maintaining the public road network, which holds up to date information on public enquiries, public liability claims and details of the routine safety inspections and repairs carried out across the road network. These records, along with road usage and information from the asset condition module, are used to help identify areas of the network that require more detailed consideration and assessment by our local engineers when developing the Department’s annual resurfacing programme.

Details of the annual resurfacing programmes are included in the Department’s Reports presented to the various District Councils at their Spring/Autumn meetings.
